Today, we stumbled across some new information on the PS4’s Hard Drive from entertainment website IGN: they’ve filled a PS4’s drive to the brim and have reported that it can hold a total of 33 games and 10 apps. There was even 12GB of storage left!
When a similar test was conducted with an Xbox One, it was claimed that its default hard drive was able to store just 20 games. In other words, the PS4’s drive held an additional 13 games – a considerably larger figure.
Does this give the PS4 an edge in the console wars? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment.
However quickly the storage capacity of hard drives, solid state drives, USB sticks and so on grows, it is unlikely that they will ever match the capacity of your brain.
The human brain has a whopping storage capacity of 256 Exabytes. Maybe that doesn’t sound too impressive. Ok, let’s put it another way: your brain is capable of storing 256 billion Gigabytes; and if that didn’t impress you, how about the fact that that’s the equivalent of 1.2 billion average hard drives. Saying that, you can’t choose what you want to erase from your memory and what you want to replace it with!
